Privacy

What we collect: The university you select, the date of the incident, the proctoring service involved, the problem type, and the title and description you write. If you submit anonymously, we generate a handle (e.g. QuietOtter427) for you.

IP and location: We log the IP address you submit from and a coarse location derived from it (city, region, country, lat/lon). The IP is visible only to site admins. The map shows pins from those locations, with a small (~5km) jitter applied so your exact location is not revealed.

Evidence files: If you upload screenshots or screen grabs, they are stored on the server outside of any public path. They are visible only to site admins. They are never embedded in public report pages.

Accounts: If you register, we keep your email so you can log in and so we can verify .edu emails for the "Verified Student" badge.

Removal: Email privacy@proctorproblems.com to request removal of a report.
